The USF Board of Directors approved the award of high-speed mobile broadband contracts to three telecommunications companies, and the optical fiber cable project contract has been handed over to PTCL.

The USF Board of Directors approved the award of a high-speed mobile broadband contract to a telecommunications company in the Mianwali and Khushab regions of Punjab. The company will provide services to approximately 370,000 people in 186 unserviced muazas and approximately 5,080 square kilometers of unserviced areas.

The board of directors also approved the award of the high-speed mobile broadband project in the tourist destination contract to a telecommunications company covering the Mansehra, Abbottabad, Swat and Upper Dir areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 

These projects will provide an unserved route length of 153.83 kilometers and an unserved area of ​​approximately 65.51 square meters. kilometer. Tourism projects in destinations such as Janat Nazeer Wadi and Kumrat will strengthen the Prime Minister’s tourism plan, and tourists and local citizens will enjoy the fastest Internet and network services.

According to the special instructions of the Federal Minister of Information Technology and Telecommunications Syed Aminul Haque, the preliminary technical investigation and design of these projects have been completed in record time, and these projects are expected to be completed in the shortest possible time. 

In addition, the board of directors also approved the award of a high-speed mobile broadband contract to a telecommunications company to provide high-speed mobile broadband services in the Las Bella and Avalan regions of Balochistan. The service will be 223 muazas and approximately 39,012 square kilometers of unserviced area.

Similarly, the board of directors also approved the award of a high-speed mobile broadband contract to another telecommunications company for the provision of high-speed mobile broadband services in the Buner and Shangla regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
