Press release from the City of Brookfield:

Construction of a new fiber network coming to Brookfield over the next four years

TDS Telecom, headquartered in Madison, WI, will be constructing a fiber network in Brookfield over the next few years with the intent to bring another choice for broadband, video, and voice business to Brookfield residents and businesses. Brookfield is one of a few communities TDS has selected for fiber-optic network expansions.

The network will become available neighborhood by neighborhood as construction is completed. Residents will be notified in several ways before construction starts in their neighborhood, including signage and by postcard, letter, and door hanger. Contractors will work to minimize disruptions to neighborhoods and restore any areas impacted by the burying of fiber-optic cable.

Residents can visit the link below for more information about construction of the TDS network.

As construction commences this Fall, property owners may see activity in their area. It will take several years for this fiber network to be installed, so some areas will see this activity before others. The City will be issuing permits for the construction but does not have details about TDS service offerings. TDS is also in the best position to answer questions or address concerns about construction. Please contact TDS if you have questions about the services they offer or the construction process.
