Antronix Unveils Innovative 1.8 GHz HFC Network Solutions and New Optics Alternatives for Broadband Operators

2022-10-09 13:20:19 By : Mr. David Chang

Antronix, Inc. will debut its 1.8 GHz network solutions at this year’s SCTE CableTec Expo in Philadelphia Booth #4043. The newest additions to the company’s flagship Milenium product line include its Milenium NXT 2.0 GHz Multi-taps and Mainline passives for outside plant upgrades. Antronix will present a host of 1.8 GHz premise solutions to boost subscriber retention and quality of experience. Antronix will also showcase variety of optical products and introduce Intercept® Hybrid Optical 1.8 GHz Micro-Node Architecture, marketed under their joint venture Teleste Intercept at Booth #11025.

Helping operators extend and leverage their HFC investments is a hallmark of Antronix engineering and manufacturing. For over forty years, Antronix has provided high performing products for operators to choose from and deploy. This year, for the first time, the full extended DOCSIS portfolio will be presented to the industry in-person.

“It doesn’t matter where an operator is on their journey of network evolution, we have products that can meet and exceed their expectations with the quality and performance that they rely on,” said Neil Tang, Antronix President and CEO. “They need creative solutions that expand their existing HFC infrastructure to add and attract additional subscribers whether they are looking for higher data rates or if they are from underserved rural areas.”

In the way of optics innovation, Antronix will share a new model, Intercept Micro-Node Architecture, which offers a fiber overlay solution for Extended Spectrum DOCSIS (EDS) that the company has made available to provide superior end of line performance in low and medium density networks which is technically and economically easy for operators to deploy. A potential ‘game changing’ solution for operators who ultimately want to go all fiber, in a way that meets the business objectives today and lays the groundwork for the long term. Antronix has just received notice from the U.S. Patent Office that Antronix will be allowed issuance as a patent for this innovative technology.

“The Intercept Micro-Node architecture provides operators with a solid and reliable solution for extending their ESD launches and Multi-gigabit symmetrical data service offering to semi-rural markets without compromising performance due to longer than average cable spans between taps,” said Tang. “We believe this adds an important dimension to an already leading edge offering of 1.8 GHz Intelligent amplifiers under the Teleste Intercept portfolio.”

Tang added: “With the Intercept architecture, we have a much wider range of viable deployment options for enabling ESD and DOCSIS 4.0 using well understood grey optics and a suite of network components that are purpose built for optimizing the new standard with a more fiber intensive architecture.”
